Storyline course progression and navigation

I'm curious to know how other IDs and course designers have shown course progression when their course branches into multiple scenes allowing the learner to take any of three or more paths?

I have a course in development which allows learners to explore 5 areas of knowledge in any order they choose - they DO have to visit all 5 before they can continue on the main learning path of the journey. What I'm finding tricky is helping them see their progression through those areas - any ideas most welcome!

    Hi Scott!

    What about using some of the built-in variables? There's a cool example in this thread that uses a slider but ultimately it's just using the built in variables. We usually just show % complete to save slide real estate and wrote a blog post about it!
