Storyline file will not open
When I attempt to open my Storyline 36o file, I get a pop up window which says "The project is invalid or corrupt and cannot be opened. It may have been created in an earlier version of Storyline".
Why would a company create a new version of its software and not make it backward compatible? I have dozens of Storyline files which will no longer open. There has to be a work around for this!
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
you can check if the internal file structure is damaged (.story = .zip) with 7z (https://www.7-zip.org)
install and mouse right-click on the .story file => Test archive
if you get such an error message (Data error) - the file is gone, you need a backup
if you get with the 7z test "no errors" it's a job for articulate support
