Storyline file will not publish!
I have a very large storyline file (about 123mb) that I'm having trouble with. It has been working perfectly until today. I opened the file and made a few small changes. I changed 5 screens to reset when revisited. Now I can't publish the file! It starts publishing, and i can see the counter... 1 of 96, etc. When it hits 16, it just stops. No error message, no nothing.
I saw one thread where someone else had a similar problem and rebuilt the file from scratch. I obviously would prefer to not do that. Anyone have any ideas?
So far, I've:
- shut down my system and rebooted
- closed all other major programs
Next, I'll pull a backup file to see if it will work. But I'd like to understand what's happening here!

Hi I am unable to publish this file to review or to LMS so I can save as Zip. This was an old file i updated. it was working fine until I updated my stroyline. :( help!
So sorry you're hitting this snag, Aditi. Happy to help!
I'm also experiencing a crash when trying to publish and preview the course using Storyline 360, Update 30. I'm not finding anything in your settings that would that to happen, so I'd like our Support team to weigh in.
Look out for an email from the team shortly, and I'll follow along!

Hi All , I am also facing issues with one of my file , it won't publish…. I created a new one, copy and paste in new scene… nothing works ….
Hi Emma and welcome to E-Learning Heroes 😊
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing with your project file.
I'm curious if the issue happens in any course you are working on or just this particular one?
- If you cannot re-create the issue in a new course, I would advise you to import the file into a new one and proceed.
- If it's happening in any/all files, you should conduct a repair of your software.
If you'd like us to take a look, then with your permission, please share your project file. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

I encountered this issue, and it was a simple fix that you may not even think would lead to a publishing issue. Make sure that when you save your file, the file name does not contain any special characters like: "-" or "_" I had these characters in my file name and I repeatedly got publishing error messages.
