Here's how to report completion and success statuses to an LMS. These reporting options are selected when publishing your course and each LMS can interpret these statuses differently (especially for SCORM 1.2 courses).
We recommend testing your course in your LMS before distributing it to learners. We use SCORM Cloud as our baseline for testing LMS output. If your LMS isn’t reporting the statuses you expect, try testing your course in SCORM Cloud for comparison. You can sign up for a free account, and it’s easy to see statuses when you exit a course.
- If the file reports as expected in SCORM Cloud, the issue is likely LMS-related, and you'll want to reach out to your LMS administrator.
- If the course doesn't report a completion status, you'll want to check the settings in the original .story file. Is it possible it's saved on your local hard drive?
