Storyline Spell Check Issues
Good Morning Community!
This morning, myself and another Storyline user seem to be having issues with the spell check feature in Storyline.
Here's the details...
When you attempt to use the spell check feature in Storyline, by right-clicking and clicking [Spelling] - as you correct each word and complete the spell check process, none of the words are corrected once the process is done.
Note, the process of right-clicking and correcting one word at a time, seems works fine.
Thoughts?
Tim
Hello everyone!
Good news! Today, we just released Storyline 360 Update 78 (Build 3.78.30680.0) which includes a fix for the bug where auto-correct in Notes shows options, but clicking those words doesn't change the incorrect word.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app!
If you have additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out in this discussion or in a support case.

Hi there, I am experiencing the same issue and as a Dyslexic, spell check is highly important to me.
The situation:
The red wavy line appears under an incorrect spelling, right-click the word, spelling suggestions appear, click on correct spelling and the correct spelling doesn't replace the wrong spelling.

Hello, Hannah, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨
Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry this issue is slowing you down!
Can you give me a little more detail of where you experience this behavior, so we can narrow it down? Does it happen on a textbox, in notes, or when using a specific feature?

Hi Maria,
Thank you for picking this up. It happens in all functions. Textboxes,
notes etc.My Audio playback in the preview is not working either.
Thanks
Hannah

Hello Hannah,
Thanks for those additional details!
You should be able to correct the misspelled word by highlighting the entire word, right-clicking on the misspelled word, then selecting the correctly spelled word. Here's a Peek recording.
Without taking a look at your project file, it's hard to say why the audio playback isn't working as expected, so from here, I'd recommend sharing your file with one of our support engineers here so they can help troubleshoot!
Also, it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.

Hi Hannah,
Sadly I can't help but wanted to add that you're not alone and I still have the same intermittent issue with spelling.

Hello Matthew,
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear you're facing this as well.
- Do you see the issue in a textbox, in notes, or when using a specific feature?
- Does it not correct the word if you highlight the misspelled word first?
- Does this happen with all Storyline projects, or is it just one?
From here, I'd like to enlist our support engineers to jump in to help troubleshoot. Feel free to connect with someone on my team here, and they'll reach out with a next step!

I am having a problem with spell check as well. It is not catching some misspelled words. When will there be a fix for this?!
Hello Sarah!
Thanks for taking the time to let us know that you're running into this issue as well! We are finding this behavior is inconsistent, so I'd like our Support Engineers to step in and work with you directly. You can reach their team by submitting a support case. If you can provide a screen recording of this behavior, that would be helpful for them to see!

I submitted a case on Monday, Aug. 9, but have not heard back from anyone.

Is anyone experiencing issues with Storyline 360 marking words spelt correctly with a red line? We have noticed it is happening with contractions like don't and doesn't as well as average words like field. Is there a fix for this?
Hi Britney,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this behavior. We are currently monitoring known issues with the spell checker feature which causes contractions to be recognized as incorrectly spelled even though there is nothing to correct.
I've added this community post to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is released.
