Sub-menu Starter Slide No Checkmark
When you create a sub-menu in your main menu, why doesn't a checkmark get put after viewing the top slide in that sub-menu? It seems confusing because it is a slide the viewers look at, but without the checkmark, it almost seems as if they have not viewed/completed that slide. Can this be added somehow? Thanks!

Hi AdamPeterson-5b!
Happy to share some insight on this!
In the screenshot you shared, I noticed the Slide without a checkmark has been Indented. Which is a setting within the Player Properties allowing authors to demote certain menu items. Within Storyline's Player Menu, demoted Slides act more as 'Headers', and are typically used to group other relevant Slides beneath it. Once all subsequent Slides have been viewed, and the Header Slide is collapsed, it does reflect a checkmark. This notifies the learner that all Slides under a demoted Slide have been completed.
I understand the confusion around this expected behavior, and we are tracking a feature request to give authors more control over when/where visual indicators appear in Storyline's Player Menu. I've included your voice in that request!
We'll be sure to notify you if this enhancement makes it to our product roadmap.
