Switching from Classic to Modern Player
We want to switch to using the Modern player rather than the classic.
However, we have an issue. The Classic player includes a border around the content, we've used our own buttons for navigation that on the edge of the screen area.
Within the Classic Player these are fine as there's a 15 pixel border, so the button is well away from the edge. However, switch to Modern player and this border is gone. This leaves the buttons right on the edge.
Question: Can I add a border to the Modern player?
Classic - HAS BORDER
Modern - NO BORDER
Hello i2Comply,
Thanks for reaching out!
The modern player has no borders because the entire slide area is where objects can be set. If you notice your buttons are too close to the edges, you can manually move them inward to give the appearance of a border to replicate the look in the classic player. You can check out this article to see the full list of differences between the modern player and the classic player!

Hi Jose
Thank you for your reply.
We have around 50 courses and manually moving buttons some of which are on every page of the course is a massive job.
I know the differences between the players.
I was asking whether there is a way (altering the published code) to add a border to the modern player.
Seems like the modern player could have a border setting, giving people the option, would be great.
Hello i2Comply,
There isn't a way to add a border to the Modern player from the user interface. I'll let other members of the community chime in in case they know how to edit the appearance of the Modern player via its CSS files!
