Tables don't display in states
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a slide in Storyline 360 with several tabs to reveal different sections of information, each section is built as a state however I ran into a problem. Some of the states include a table, I was able to copy the table into the state without any problem however when I preview the slide the table is not visible. Is this a known limitation of tables (in the same way that they can't be grouped)? Has anyone else run into this issue?
I could rebuild the slide to use layers rather than states however I chose states so that I could include entrance and exit animations when the user switches tabs so I'm curious whether there's a fix.

Looking to put a table into states in a slider interaction but as has happened for everyone else, the table doesn't appear. I have taken a picture of it and put it in that way but the quality isn't as clear. Just adding my issue to the thread to help push this topic up further on the development list for fixing. Thanks

Hi, I am trying to edit a Storyline360 slide made by someone else. It contains a table, which is in a state. I need to edit the text in the table. However, when I select the table in 'Timeline' then change to the 'States' tab, it will not allow me to edit the state—meaning I cannot edit the table.
Any help much appreciated,
Darren
Hi, Darren,
Thanks so much for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're running into this issue with the states within your project. I understand how frustrating that can be.
In order to better assist, I have a few additional questions to understand the full scope of what is going on:
- What version of Storyline are you using?
- Are you able to edit the text prior to advancing to the States tab in Slide View?
- Could you share your .story file so I can have a closer look? I'll try to replicate the experience on my end.
Happy to help get to the bottom of this with you!

I am using the Latest Storyline 360. It would be great if each square in a table could have states and be clickable. I have to use Lectora if I want to create an interactive table.
Thank you,
Renee Hansen

Hiya Eric, thanks for your reply. Let's try it from here—the articulate community page. I have previously been replying via email.
Hi Darren,
Thanks for sharing your project file!
The table in your slide isn't found in a state, so you can just edit the text in the table directly.
Let me know if this is what you were trying to do!
