Text input fields shrink when preview/published

Hi all,

I've created a fill in the blank question and have run into formatting issues when previewing or publishing the slide due to the input fields shrinking in size.  When I create the slide, I format it so the text input fields all fit perfectly with the text, however the input fields shrink when previewed or published.  This is forcing me to position the input fields so they overlap the text that follows.

How can I fix the size of these so I'm not guess how to line everything up?

    Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Jeff!

Thank you for sharing a screenshot with us. I noticed you have a dashed outline on your text-entry fields, and we have an open issue we're investigating where text-entry fields with a dashed shape outline resize when previewed or published.

If that sounds like what you're experiencing, the workaround is to use the solid dash instead, if possible.

I'll share this discussion in the bug report so we can notify you of any changes on all fronts. Thank you for working through this with us!

  • Hi Jeff,

I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Build 3.76.30446.0, we've included important fixes and new features.

One of the bugs we've fixed is:

    • Text Entry with dashed shape outline resizes when published.

Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you need additional help!

I just had this exact issue, and it was fixed by using the solid dash instead of the dotted dash. Thank you!
