Hi,
I have recorded my screen and added it in "Try mode". I have set the "hint caption" to appear if the user clicks outside the hotspot. However, I would like to give the learner three chances to click on the screen before the hint caption tells them where to click.
Can you please help?

Hey Rebecca,
You could create a numeric Variable called "Hint". Create a trigger to add one each time the user "clicks outside". Then Set your "Hint Caption" to appear when the Variable changes, if it equals 3.
You could reuse this on every slide, you would just want to set the "Hint" variable to equal zero when the timeline starts.

Thanks for your speedy reply. I am fairly new to using variables and have tried to follow your advice, but without any success.
I have attached the first few slides of my document so far and tried assigning variables to the hint caption on the first slide. The hint is still appearing after clicking outside the hotspot just once, rather than appearing after 3 clicks.
Any advice you have would be much appreciated.
