TTS Question

Hello, 

I am creating training and the TTS in SL is very good in my opinion. 

The training has a specific laboratory audience and some cases I must use letter spoken statements. It is unavoidable in certain cases because of equipment names or processes. 

I need help getting TTS to say "A" - as in h-AY for other letters, I am good to go G = GEE, U=YOU etc. However, and it is weird, AY works sometimes and others it comes out "EYE" - Is there a trick anyone uses? It is probably an easy fix and I am missing it.
