TTS voice enhancement feature

Dear Articulate,

It has been a decade since we have TTS feature in Articulate Storyline, without having any new enhancement feature. The voices are basic and not having a good quality output that can resemble a human voiceover. This is time now that this needs an update with customized output and edit settings. Currently, these are not usable to provide a quality output for any customer.

    Hi SibaPrasa and Hon Lai,

    Storyline 360 Update 80 was just released and we’ve added a number of Neural Voices to the text to speech feature. These will show up in the same place as the standard voices, under “Neural Voices”. These are voices that sound more natural and human-like and are considerably higher in quality compared to the older standard TTS voices.

    A list of these voices can be found  here. Updating Storyline 360 to the latest version is super easy, here is the guide in case you need it. 

    Please let us know of any feedback (good or bad), around this enhancement and we’ll be happy to pass it along to our dedicated team of engineers.

    I find that other services such as Microsoft Azure offer the best functionality in generating TTS at a cost effective model.

    Storyline's built in TTS is great for placeholder audio, but I wouldn't be using it for anything more than that.

    Hi SibaPrasad,

    Thanks for checking in on this! I understand you would like to see enhanced features for text-to-speech. There currently hasn’t been any movement on this as we prioritize other features. Here is some more information on how we manage feature requests. We’ll update this discussion if there’s any news regarding this feature.
