Without some specific context, you're not likely to get any specific tips. I will recommend that you start with the learning design for the course you are seeking to develop; what do you want the learners to do/know/show etc. once the course is completed? Once you validate your desired outcomes through a meaningful gap analysis, you can then approach your learning design with a target outcome in view. Then you can explore what Storyline offers and determine which features will help your learners achieve the target outcome.
