Unable to change zoom speed
I am using Storyline 3 and I am trying to use the zoom region. I looked at this document https://community.articulate.com/articles/storyline-3-adding-zoom-regions#add to try to change zoom speed, but the instructions say to "To change the zoom speed, right-click the zoom area on your slide, scroll to Zoom Transition Speed, then choose a speed." however, this is not an option. The only similar option I have when right-clicking the zoom area is "timing," but that only allows me to set how long the zoom region is visible, and does not control the zoom speed.
Even if I could add some sort of fade in/out transition between zoom regions, that would help. I almost get motion-sick with the speed of the room regions!
Do you have the zoom region selected? It should appear normal while the surrounding area is darkened.
I really wish there was an ease out to the zoom effect. Makes the move look jumpy no matter what speed the transition is.

When you click Insert, do you see different options on your ribbon than my screenshot below?
If so, then I recommend a quick repair of Storyline 360:
