Unable to publish a video as an mp4 file in trial version of storyline 360

Steps taken

  1. Create a new project in storyline 360
  2. Selected record screen--> recorded the screen which I wanted
  3. Inserted the recorded screen as slides in the project
  4. Clicked publish 
  5. Clicked on the video
  6. Gave it a title and Location
  7. Location to be saved on my local folder C:/users/documents
  8. Clicked publish
  9. It does not publish and closes the storyline app

Any help would be appreciated

    Hello Vijaay,

    Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue. 

    Since you were able to replicate the behavior on a new Storyline 360 project file, I'd first recommend trying to do a repair of your installation to see if this helps. This article explains how to do the repair: 

    If the issue persists, try publishing your course to either web, LMS, or Review 360 to see if those will generate the same error message.This will help isolate if the issue only happens when you publish to a specific format. Once you have this information, please open a case with our support team here and share your results there so we can continue troubleshooting the behavior.
