Unlocking navigation after course has been viewed once

Hi All,

I have some complex technical courses that I develop. I need the student to view the entire course to the end, so they understand the procedure in its entirety, and so I set the courses to "locked". However, because they are complex procedures, sometimes when the review the course again, they want to jump around the course to see various parts.

It would be nice if there is some way to set the navigation to unlocked if certain conditions are met (course completion, for example). The only workaround I can think of, is to make a duplicate unlocked course. On the LMS side, taking the unlocked course would have a prerequisite of taking the locked course.

...any other ideas?

  • Don't set Navigation to Locked. Set it to Restricted. That will require the user to go through the slides in order. They won't be able to jump ahead with the Menu.

However, they will be able to use the Menu to jump to any previously viewed slide.
