Very blurry text and images in Chrome HTML5
I am using Storyline 360 and publishing HTML5 only. My client uses Chrome only. Every image and all text is unacceptably blurry.
Attached is an image of a screen from the course. On the left is HTML5 in Chrome, and on the right is Flash. Even the "Next" button is blurry.
I see in other discussions that this is a known issue. What is the timeline for fixing this? I will no longer be able to support this client unless we can get a fix soon, as they are quite dissatisfied with the current state.

Hi, I am also still noticing blurry images when publishing my courses in Storyline 360. I have tried to set publish quality options to custom optimization at 100% for images and the images are still blurry. The only way I am able to get the images to not look blurry is to replace all the image files once the course is published, which other users have also talked about in this message thread. This is not ideal because you have to rename all of the original images to match what Storyline renames the images to when published. Is there a better way to make sure images have the best quality as possible? We have clients who are not happy with the quality of our images since they always look blurry.

I appreciate you reaching out to share that you're experiencing blurry images. I know this thread has a lot of information in it, so I'd like to touch base on a couple of things.
You mention that you've adjusted the publish quality, but I'd like to back up and understand the images you're using.
Best Practice: Don't shrink or stretch media in your course.

Hi Leslie, thanks for getting back to me. We are noticing more of a problem for Chrome on PC. Is this a problem specifically with Chrome on PC rendering Storyline images? Is this something that is being worked on by either Chrome PC or Storyline? However, even with the other browsers and even my Mac I am seeing the best quality for my images when I take the time to replace all the images once the course is published. This of course is not ideal to have to do this every time we publish. When the quality is set to 100% for images why are they still being compressed and ending up blurry? Shouldn't this 100% option mean little to no compression with the images? It would be great to have an option for no image compression at all. We really need the flexibility of being able to create images at larger sizes so we can zoom into certain details of documents or images. I will see if I can provide an example file for you to look at soon.
Interesting. I appreciate you sharing further insight. I was able to track down some similar conversations related to Chrome, but I'd like to confirm when I take a look at your file.

I am experiencing the same issue with blurry images. Please advise. FLASH will not longer be supported, so HTML5 is really the only option, right?

Hi
My computer crashed and I am trying to figure out if it is my new laptop or the way I am making screenshots that is causing the problems.
My images keep on blurring. In normal, preview and publish mode.
My story size is W:1280 H:720
I have tried to make screenshots in various ways. I have copied and pasted and also saved images and then imported them into storyline with the same results.
I have made screenshots from software, from outlook and other sources. It does not seem to make a difference. When I import an image from the online it does not blur. It is only when I make the screenshot.
I have attached what it looks like from my side.
The computer display resolution is 1366 x 768 (100%) which is the recommended resolution for my laptop.
Any ideas or suggestions would help.

Hi, I'm experiencing a similar issue, in which the player buttons, specifically previous and next, are blurry for just some (2/7) users. We're trying to isolate any similarities in system set up, but curious if anyone has run into something like this. It appears to be happening on both Edge and Chrome when viewing in Review 360.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing some blurriness with the player buttons.
- Do the users see the blurriness when viewing any course published to Review 360 or just one specific one?
- Are all the users viewing the course on the latest version of Edge and Chrome?
I'd recommend connecting with our support engineers and sharing a link to the published output for testing if possible, then one of my teammates will reach out with the next step!
