video controls not working in Articulate Online
Hi there,
I am using Storyline 3 and have inserted mp4 videos into my project. The video controls work when I publish to the web but not when I publish to the Articulate Online LMS. Is there a setting that I need to adjust?
Thank you

Hi everyone,
We have just pushed an update that should fix the following issue:
Clicking on Seekbar restarts Video when published with Storyline 360 and uploaded to Articulate Online
No republishing should be needed and any affected courses should now be corrected.
Please feel free to take a look at your courses in Articulate Online and let me know if you're seeing any issue with the video restarting when using the seekbar.

Hi Guys,
I've just published a range of courses with similar issues shown above...
I have tried multiple work-around's (Video control enabled/disabled, seekbar enabled, open in new window, allow seek etc...) but all still restart the video when you try to move forward or backwards...I really need to get this working as the video's are quite long (Some over an hour) and our client want the option to move around the video...
I am using Storyline 3 with the most recent update, publishing to LMS using HTLM5 with Flash fallback.
I noticed in the last post by Leslie the issue was deemed fixed but I am still having problems 9 months later.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Niall
Hi there, Niall!
The issue where clicking on the seekbar restarts the video when uploaded to Articulate Online is still open in Storyline 3. As soon as we have a fix in place, we'll let you know!
In the meantime, we're happy to have a look at your project to see what approaches we can offer. If you're able to share the .story file, please use this private upload link.

Hi Patricio,
I'm sorry to hear you're running into this issue! Since you're using Storyline 360, it sounds like your issue may be different from what other users are experiencing in this discussion.
We have a separate issue in Storyline 360 Update 37, where the user is unable to scrub the built-in video controls and are actively working on a fix for that. We'll be sure to jump in here when we have any news to share!
Hello, Patricio!
A hotfix for Storyline 360 is ready, and it addresses the issue where learners couldn't click or drag the seekbar on the built-in video controls!
You can explore the release notes here, and download the latest update with these steps. Thanks for helping us make this improvement!

Hi Stephanie!
We did release the fix for this issue in Storyline 360. We are currently on Storyline 360 Update 39 (Build 3.39.22088.0).

Hi there,
I'm still experiencing this issue when I publish a Review 360 version of my module. I've read through all of the above posts and I'm experiencing the same thing. When clicking or dragging on the seekbar or video controls it restarts the video.
Any workaround to this?

Hello Ronan,
Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like after publishing to Review 360, the video restarts when clicking on either the seekbar or the video controls. I’m happy to help find what might be getting in the way here.
Let's start with some questions so I can better understand:
- Is this happening with all of the videos in your course, or is it a specific slide with a video on it?
- Have you tried testing the Review 360 link in another browser to see if that makes a difference?
I'll stay tuned for more info so we can continue troubleshooting together!

Hi Becca,
I have tested it on both Chrome and Edge.
It actually initially worked and then stopped working after that.
My team also has a Vimeo account so our solution is to send a Vimeo review link, but it is not ideal to send one link for the module and another one for the video in the module. I published the review link and tested it 6 or 7 times before I gave up and uploaded the video in Vimeo instead.
It'd be great to get this working.
Ronan
