Video on navigating a course in Articulate
Anybody have a standard project already done that shows users how to navigate through an articulate course? I'm just at the initial stages of building my course but it would be great after the intro slide to have a " heres how to navigate through"
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers, Nav

Before you go to the trouble of adding a video or other instructions, consider whether your audience actually needs them. I, for one, would be quite frustrated (to put it politely) if I had to watch a video that described what the Prev and Next buttons are for.
- If the learners regularly use computers, they probably don't need any instructions (especially if you include text labels with the < and > symbols). Just include slide-specific instructions for any interactions.
- If some learners will likely need help, I suggest you make the instructions optional.
- For example, you could add a Help tab at the Player level that lightboxes that info. (This post describes what I mean by that: TIP: Create Custom Player Tabs for Your Resources, Glossary, and More - Articulate Storyline Discussions - E-Learning Heroes)
BTW, there was another post recently about this topic in which author included the video he had made. I don't remember which area of the Forum it was in, but you could try searching for it.

Hi Nav. I think this may be the post Judy mentioned.
The instruction animations in that example are stellar for quickly explaining how to interact with the course. But you'll notice in the comments that, similar to what Judy said, people wondered if the audience for the course needed that level of help.
Researching how tech-savvy the course audience is can help you know if navigation instructions are necessary for the course. And I'm with Judy in thinking tucking that navigation help into a player tab can be a nice way to keep the course streamlined but still make sure the people who need help have it in an easy-to-find place.- JudyNolletSuper Hero
Thanks, Bianca! That is the post I was thinking about.
