Click on image won't zoom anymore
All of a sudden I notice that images don't zoom/enlarge when clicked anymore in Articulate Rise. I don't know when this stopped working, I only just noticed it. I have the box "Enable zoom on image click" checked in the Image Format properties and all of the images are much larger in their original form so that is not the problem. I am on a Mac.

Your image may already be displayed at its maximum resolution.

I'm on a Mac Pro Studio Ultra with Sonoma 14.2, and also recently noticed the images stopped zooming like they did before. And I deliberately use larger images so that they can zoom.
I most often use "image and text" with the text in the whitespace next to the image. But zoom is also not working in the interactive tabs or in the accordions, and it was working in those until recently. Using Firefox 115.
Just for grins I also opened Safari 17 and it doesn't work there now either.
Funny how the magnifying glass appears there, but no zoom. PLEASE FIX THIS.
Hi Kompetenslaget,
Thanks for reaching out about your images no longer zooming in Rise 360! I was unable to replicate this behavior on my end.
- If I understand your screenshot correctly, you are using a Three column grid block. Is that right?
- Are you experiencing this behavior in other blocks as well? If so, please share!
- What image file type are you using in your course? Here is information on best practices for images in Rise 360 for your reference.
We'd be happy to look at a link of your course in this thread or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi!
This happens on every image no matter if I use three column grid block. It just started happening, it never happened before. I am on a Mac, but things always worked fine up until recently when I discovered that the zoom feature didn't work anymore...
Hi Kompetenslaget!
Glad to see Luciana has been helping you!
Sorry to hear you've run into this setback. To clarify, are you experiencing this behavior across all supported browsers, or is it local to one? Also, it would be helpful to see a link to the course that's giving you trouble. Do you mind sharing that here in the discussion or privately through a support case?
We'll delete it from our system as soon as troubleshooting is complete!

I am experiencing the same problem. Has there been a resolution?

It is when the course is uploaded in the LMS-- the zoom icon appears, but when I click on the image, nothing happens.
Hi Jenna!
Sorry to hear you've also run into this issue!
I see that you've already opened a support case being handled by my teammate, John Carlo. It looks like John Carlo replied to your e-mail sharing insight into this behavior. We can continue the conversation through your case to keep all information in one spot.

I have now checked and it seems to work on other browsers, but not on Safari that is my standard browser... Do you know, at the top of your head, some simple checkbox in Safari settings that could fix this...?

Yes, this is beginning to be a big issue, several customers need that functionality... Any fixes on the horizon...?

I'm experiencing the no zoom thing too - images are definitely high enough resolution to make 'bigger'

OK, so here's an update. After posting a "me too" yesterday, I noticed that suddenly it was working again.
The only thing I can trace it to was that I refreshed the browser screen.
Same issue this morning when I restarted my session (timed out overnight). At first the images did not zoom, but after a page refresh they did.
So....seems like some command, one that allows the browser to zoom them, sometimes doesn't make it to my machine from the cloud, and upon an additional refresh it shows up. I'm not really an HTML guy, so that's just a guess. Maybe that helps some users?

I am also now having this same problem, which I didn't in the past. Are there any other suggestions or anyone looking into this issue?
Hello Alicia and Katie,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.
I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify our experience.
- How are you testing your course? Are you accessing it through an LMS, or can you also replicate the behavior in Rise 360 using the preview function?
- Can you replicate the behavior in Review 360?
- If your course is hosted on an LMS, try testing it in SCORM Cloud. Can you observe the same behavior there?
- Is the issue browser-specific?
If your course is not specific to one environment such as your LMS, please upload a copy of the image/s that is not zooming here so we can check what's happening.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
