Images with Animations Flickering
Does anyone know why some images or text boxes that have fade animations applied are flickering slightly as they fade out? Not sure why some images are doing this in an animation and others are not. This animation also has VO and several images onscreen timed to the voice files. Thank you for any insight.
Hi PSlowey!
Happy to help!
I tested this on my end in the current version of Storyline 360, but was unable to replicate the same behavior. Are you experiencing this issue when previewing your course within Storyline, or after it's been published?
If it's the former, and you've confirmed that you are working locally, please try a repair of your Storyline installation to see if that improves the issue. If you're still having trouble, seeing a copy of the story file, as well as a screen recording of the behavior, would be helpful. Feel free to share those items here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Steven,
Would you mind looking at the slide where I see the flickering? I am seeing it in review mode and haven't tested on an LMS, as this is an early alpha. I would love to know if this is something I am doing wrong or a technique for smoothing out images that I am not aware of. All help appreciated!

Hello PSlowey and HoneyTurner,
Thanks for sharing additional information about the behavior you're experiencing. I can confirm we are currently tracking a known issue where objects with exit animations flicker when followed by audio in the timeline. I've added this community thread to the bug report so we can notify everyone here as soon as a fix is released.
In. the meantime, you can downgrade your installation to Storyline 360 Update 92 and republish your course as a workaround!

I've been experiencing the flicker too, affecting the last couple updates of Storyline. However, I was able to narrow down the trigger and recreate predictably.
I've submitted my sample file to Support with case number 00973950
In the meantime, if you want to attempt a manual fix, ensure that the end of any exit animations does not align with the start of an audio track (text to speech or sound file).- DavidLaMontagneCommunity Member
Can confirm. Moved the shape on my timeline a frame earlier than the audio started and flicker disappeared!
Hi DavidLaMontagne,
I'm glad this did the trick for you! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions if you need help.
