While this is great, can we get this feature for the pre-formatted list blocks as well? It would be nice to be able to adjust the color of the circles, check boxes, and bullets for these. (and while we're at it, can we control the amount of distance between the numbers/bullets and the text?)
We've hit some snags with our updated text editor. While we love the joy of delivering new features, it should never come at the expense of usability. We're going to roll back this release for now. You may still see the new toolbar until the rollback is complete. I'm so sorry for the trouble!
Rise gets a small update after 4 years, and then it is taken away two days after... Not a very good move. Will this improved text editor come back after you fix those usability problems?
The text you've formatted after we released the original update won't be changed. This means that any styling you've added will stay unless you specifically remove it or delete the text. You won't be able to add the new styling after the rollback of this feature.
I'll post an update once the rollback is completed.
I know that was frustrating news yesterday, and I'm sorry. I don't have a timeline yet about when we'd release formatting improvements again, but I promise to keep this discussion updated once I have new information.
To confirm, the rollback of our text formatting enhancement is complete. Any text that used the new styling will keep that styling unless you edit or remove it from this point on.
As a workaround, I use the following: click the windows key and the period key together, a dialogue box will appear. This will allow you to add an emoji, kaomoji, or symbol. Choose the symbol group and add a bullet from the selection. It will match the font color.
Crystal, I appreciate the updates. Can we get another update this week? This issue has been four years in the making... Well probably more than four years. Just this thread is four years old.
A quick 'fix' you can use an alt code for the bullets. Press and hold down the ALT key on your keyboard. While holding in the ALT key press 0, 1, 4, 9 (no commas) using your number pad.
Alt0149 = •
You can then color the bullet. Not the best, but a definite work around if needed.

That's inserting a symbol which isn't a good work around for formatting and accessibility purposes.
Another vote!
That's great news Hazel
It only took 4 years, but better late than never. Thanks!

Thank you!
Even though this comes late, it is welcome. Thank you!

What will happen to projects that already implemented text with adjusted bullets? Will they change back to black?

It's been 4 years and this hasn't been fixed so consider my work-around. Paste the symbol below and change the color:

Cheers!
Unfortunately, that work around is not screen reader friendly.
