I know how to change the default colour in the settings, but can you set a default colour for the font? It seems to be set to grey, and I need to go and change each text block to black.
Ah yeah, for Rise there is no option for the color of the font in the theme customization, have you tried to upload a custom font? I don't know if it can work but we never know!
Otherwise you'll have to change each block one by one..
This topic appears important to the customers who use RISE. I am surprised that you are able to add complex features such as scenario blocks but haven't been able to add the ability to change the default font color. This seems strange to me.
Thanks for your feedback. I sense that you're frustrated that this feature hasn't been implemented and I totally get it. The waiting game is never easy!
However, I want you to know that we're doing our very best to bring our users the features they want and need as quickly as possible.
It would be nice to be able to change the default font in all areas of Rise. Particularly because research shows that black font is more accessible for those with visual impairments, or vision-related disabilities; and it's my own aim, as well as that of my firm's, to make our content as accessible as possible.
I understand why the trend toward gray happened, but there must be other ways to enhance the UX for all learners...and developers? Like adjusting font size, or tighter, more concise writing...
And frankly, my own eyes are not that great, so after working in Rise for several hours, I am feeling the eye strain myself!
I understand your concern, Leslie. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'll be sure our team sees your feedback, and we'll let you know if we make a change to this feature in the future.
Hi, Nikisha. There isn't a formal voting system for feature requests. We read each of your posts (and cases), and we take into consideration the number of people impacted when prioritizing them. Here's more on that process.
This is needed, especially since you can't save your custom colours in a swatch on the colour picker and therefore have to remember the HEX code of your text colour everytime you need to change it.
I have been yearning for these and just assumed it would come naturally. It is time-consuming to say the least, and frustrating in the sense that it seems so basic but seems to be too out of reach. Surely there are more complex features you have done without too much prodding. I just want to default it to black. That alone will be a big leap and save countless hours.
Please allow us to change the default font settings for size, color, etc., it is very time-consuming to do it manually, where you have to change the font for every caption, piece of text, etc., throughout a training module that contains hundreds of blocks.
Adding my voice to this. Having to go through and check/change every block of text is very time consuming and draining — and there is always the chance of error. We recently had a minor colour update and I had to go through our modules and update every instance, manually typing in the HEX code. Tables are a source of frustration too, as I have to reset the font size and colour for every new row/column. RISE is brilliant in so many ways — really hoping you can address this soon.
Interested in following this thread and getting notifications. I agree with all the comments having to go and change each and every block to change the text to black is a time suck.
Just wondering if you get more feature requests you get for this, will it be moved up the priority list?
This would be very helpful and save a lot of tedious and time consuming work! I just submitted a feature request for this as well and am hoping if enough people submit one for this it will become a priority.
Hello Articulate Rise - From reading this chain of posts, it appears that fonts are still defaulted to grey. What this means is that I'll have to go through the entire course I'm working on, block by block, to switch the font to black. With accessibility at the forefront of our work, the default should be black (if defaulting is required) and then custom changes would be for those who want to switch to grey. Please work on this issue.

Hi Michael,
Check this post, it might help you to change your default font colour and everything else.
Ah yep, am across that for Storyline.
Hopefully someone has some tips for Rise as well.

I would also like to be able to set a default font colour throughout a Rise project. Has there been any update on this?
No update yet, Louise, but we'll keep you posted!
Has there been an update to this topic yet?

We receive hundreds of feature requests every week, so prioritizing them is no small task and we take it very seriously. Here's an inside look at how that process works.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Is there still no update on the ability to set a default font color in RISE?
Hi Karel,
Rise 360 doesn't have a default font color feature, but thanks for letting us know you have a need for that!
Yup. A more thought through theme engine for Rise would be welcome!

Is there a way to upvote this feature request?

I too would like to see this feature added. It would help save time.

Yes, I concur. I would like to be able to set a default font color for the whole project.
