How to add enable poster image in Rise video

I would like to add a poster image to a video in rise. Currently i am unable to add this in rise but i can see the example in the Rise template. Could you guide us how to enable poster image in MP4 video a, so that could show up in output. Currently its only show black Background only.

  • Hi SibaPrasad,

Unfortunately, there's not currently a way to add a poster frame to videos in Rise 360. The best way to do this right now is to add the poster frame to your video before you upload it.

That being said, we do have a feature request logged for this so I'll add your voice to that discussion.

In the meantime, if there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know!

What is a "poster frame"? I only see that term referenced in PowerPoint tutorials.

Hi, Damian! The poster frame is the image displayed until the user hits the play button. I hope this helps!

Rise 360 - search google for feature, see someone has asked, see staff say its coming....3 years later....Crickets!!!

  • Please, please, please, add the video poster feature to the road map.

Having black rectangle in the video player is not exactly inviting.

    Thank you!

  • 5 years later and still nothing - any updates? This is a low-hanging fruit for the devs and should have been in the software from day 1. You can even add a poster image for video in PowerPoint...

  • Any news on this feature? Adding a frame to our video is not something we can do for our project.

      Hi Paul!

Thanks for checking in on this!

I don't have any updates to share at this time as our development team prioritizes other features. Not to worry! I've included you in the feature request and will update this discussion if it makes it onto our Feature Roadmap.

In the meantime, for your reference, here's a deeper look at how we manage feature requests.
