I'm a new user in Articulate Rise 360 and I've been developing few training courses. What I've observed is images appear blurry and pixellated when uploaded to Rise. When I take screenshots from my product UI and save it, it's as clear and crisp as it can be. But uploading to Rise seems to distort the quality of the images.
I've read that the image size should not exceed 5 GB and my images are way lesser than that. Could you please suggest a way to fix this issue?
If you have an image that looks blurry in Rise 360, we've designed a workaround to keep your images looking crystal clear.
If you'd like an image to keep its specific file format and not undergo compression, you can opt-out of image optimization on a case-by-case basis. Add _NOPROCESS_ to the name of your image file. It'll upload and display exactly as you saved it.
Keep in mind that the 5GB file size limit still applies, and you could see an increase in your output file size.
If you're using a labeled graphic with a small image, Rise will scale the image up to at least 760 px wide. If you _noprocess_ for that, it may not work in that case.
I seem to have missed this message, sorry. Thank you very much. Yes, I'm adding _NoProcess_ to my image names. And yes, this doesn’t seem to work for labelled graphic. Thanks a lot!
Does this work still? Maybe I'm not using it correctly. I don't see any improvement to the image. Does it matter if it's at the beginning or the end of the file name? Thank You!
Hi Sherry! You'll need to add _NOPROCESS_ at the end of the filename. If your filename is sample.png, it should be sample_NOPROCESS_.png after renaming. If you're still having trouble, would you mind sharing your file here so we can do some tests? Thanks!
Hello - I am having the same experience with my images. I tried adding the _NOPROCESS_ at the end of the filename and still have a blurred image. My image is not a crisp as I would find in the content library. Do you have any other suggestions?
Hi Dianne! Sorry to hear that your image still remains blurry despite adding _NOPROCESS_ at the end of the filename. Please open a case with us so that one of our technical support engineers can assist you.
What about having a setting for deciding on media compression, as with Storyline? This imposed compression breaks software walkthroughs as it makes UI texts hard to read or unpleasant to the eye. Thanks!

This was super helpful! thank you very much!
Just stumbled across this! It helps a bit, but I find when I have smaller screenshots, they blur in Rise. Larger or full page screenshots look good.
Does anyone have any tips that doesn't involve using Adobe tools?
