Allow publishing access for more than one owner
I also agree - we are an international organization and have global teams collaborating and this would be useful for us as well

Hey Holly_G,
Thanks for checking in on this.
I'd like to learn more about how this limitation has been slowing you down. How often does your team run into this setback, and what do you do when someone other than the owner needs to republish a Rise course?

We have a little over 100 users globally and as people leave the company or change roles, content gets assigned to me as the owner and though I'll store the content in a Team folder where other content creators can access it. We've had people on leave and their content is left unfinished, then when someone wants to either finish the project or refresh a learning, they get confused and either assume they have to just re-make it (which has happened a bit this year I've learned recently) or I am asked to do it for them as the now owner of the content which interrupts my workload because it's never just one step, right? It's certainly not a daily occurrence but it happens often enough. Really it ends up causing more work for the team as a whole because more often than not, content just gets re-made OR it just gets kicked down the road.
Although on the one hand, it's a benefit when I am the owner of older content and the content created by authors who have left the company, to have a sort of stop-gap to prevent low-quality work being published because I will review it before publishing, but it's outside of a normal workflow. If it were part of a built-in workflow that would be a different story.
Now that I'm thinking about it ... I'd love to see a sort of junior account status that didn't allow for publishing that I could start users on so that I don't have some of the really awful stuff that has gone out ... 😳 (like a course that is nothing but one image gallery block filled with slides from a slide deck published as learning) 😭

Hello Holly_G,
Thank you for the thoughtful follow-up, and for sharing real examples! Here’s what I’m hearing:
- With 100+ users globally, content lands with you as owner when people leave or change roles.
- When someone’s on leave, or a project is unfinished, others either remake the content or ask you to step in. That interrupts your own work.
- It’s not daily, but it happens often enough that the team does extra work, or the content gets put off.
- Your review has been a helpful quality check, but it sits outside your normal workflow. You’d like something built in, like a junior account status that can’t publish.
We appreciate you taking the time to walk us through this. We can’t promise a specific outcome, but your details help us understand what your team is working through. If more comes up, we’d love to hear it!
