PLEASE add the ability to configure a topbar in Rise!
My organisation has a couple of information sets that need to be inserted into every online learning product we create, and these need to be accessible to the learner at any point within the course.
In Storyline, we can configure the Topbar via the Player menu to include a link to any information we want to put there, but Rise doesn't have this.
Our client areas don't like us putting the information at the start of a course because it isn't engaging (because it's corporate information that isn't specifically related to the course but is required by policy), but as most learners don't jump around within a course, if we put it at the end they don't realise it's there until long after they needed it. It's particularly problematic if the course requires locking of the navigation.
Having the ability to create a link in a Topbar that shows the information would solve this problem.

Hi NicolaPullan-08,
That’s a thoughtful idea. I can see how having a topbar option in Rise would make it easier to share important policy or reference info without disrupting the flow of the course.
I’ve shared your request with our product team so they can look into whether this is something we can add in the future. If we make any changes that address this need, we’ll circle back here in the community to let you know.
Thanks again for taking the time to share this suggestion!

Thank you EricSantos I figure the ability to add buttons along the top could be managed from the Theme area, under Navigation, and perhaps the buttons could link to a Block Template (which is where our developers tend to set up this corporate info) that displays when clicked - maybe like a layer or a lightbox does in Storyline.
Thanks for adding those extra details, NicolaPullan-08! That really helps paint a clear picture of how a topbar feature in Rise could work, especially linking to a Block Template and displaying it like a lightbox.
I went ahead and added this additional detail to the feature report so our product team has the full context. We’ll keep you updated here in the community if any changes are made in this area.
