Lost Text Animations by Paragraph After Translation
I just translated a Storyline 360 course into Spanish using the Word doc import. Nearly every slide has an animated text box with the setting "By Paragraph" so that each bullet point is timed with the audio narration. After translation, that menu option is gone and all the text comes in at once with no way to adjust it. I've tried several things to fix it (turning all the bullets off and on again, removing and re-adding the line breaks, etc.), but nothing gives me that option again on the Animations menu, Effect Options (Entrance Animations) menu. Never had this problem before with translations. Any ideas?Localization, Multiple Reviewers in Same Language
I have multiple reviewers working on validating a Rise translation of one course into Brazilian Portuguese at the same time. The second reviewer received the following error message pop up in the tool: "Editing it disabled due to an error. Please ask the course creator to update translations and republish." What is the least disruptive thing I need to do to resolve this? Can I just accept the translation edits from a 1st reviewer? Or do I need to republish the review link and resend it to the 2nd reviewer before the 2nd reviewer can start validating? Note: We're not adding reviewers manually; we're sharing as a link to all reviewers. Right now our work around is having the 2nd reviewer add their edits in the comments, then I can manually go in and update. But this isn't feasible when we have hundreds of updates.Arabic Closed Captions do not Display properly (Storyline 360)
We've been doing a lot of localization. Lately we've been doing English to Arabic. On screen text looks okay. We're using AI generated speech with auto generation of closed captions. The closed captions have the punctuation at the wrong end. I've searched the forums and it seems like this issue was brought up FOUR YEARS ago and was submitted as a bug report. But I can't find any solution. Please help.Why does the course language label change to English after copying a course?
Hello heroes, we often copy existing courses in Rise and use them as a base for building new ones, updates or different versions. Most of our courses are in German and we give them the German label in the settings. But every time we make a copy of a course with a German label, it reverts back to English. This is kind of annoying, because we tend to forget this happens, and then users complain that there is "Please answer the question to continue" instead of "Damit es weitergehen kann, müssen Sie die Frage beantworten." (Because why would a copy of a german course suddenly have an english language flag?) Only the course owner can change this setting and that is not always the one who is currently working on that course (/working at same time as the one working on the course). My question: Is there a way to fix this? Like a setting that allows copied courses to keep their original language label? Or a way to give course Managers the rights to change language labels?Articulate Localization with Workday
Hi Everyone, I’m interested in learning more about how others are using the Localization (translation) feature in Articulate. Are you currently using this feature in your projects? If so, how has your experience been? Has anyone successfully used it in conjunction with Workday? For those using Workday specifically: Does the integration provide visibility into which language a learner completed the course in? Did this require any special configuration, or did it work out of the box? Hello, I have verified that I'm updated to the most recent version of Storyline, and I opened an existing Story file to play with the localization tool. However, I don't see that option in the menu as shown in the most recent update video. I don't understand why the feature is not there, when there are no updates showing as available in my Articulate 360 app. Please advise. I was just on David's call and these new features in Rise look really great. I can see a lot of possibilities—if I can get them translated. What are the translation options, processes, and limitations for each of these features? For example, are text boxes in Custom Blocks included in the XLIFF exports? What about text in a Code Block? During the call, David inserted a calculator using a code block. The calculator had a heading at the top. How would I go about getting that heading translated? Finally, if I use the text-to-speech feature, how do I go about getting that text translated so I can generate the speech in other languages? Is it included in the XLIFF file? I'm loving these new features, but everything I do needs to be translated and I'm trying to avoid creating extra work and opportunities for things to get missed. Thanks!
