Storyline 360 – Chinese interaction responses appear as underscores in SCORM 2004 reports
Hi everyone, We're experiencing an issue with Storyline 360 courses published as SCORM 2004. For the Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese versions of our course, the Interaction Report does not display the Correct Response or Learner Response correctly. Observed behavior The course launches and functions normally. Assessment scoring is correct. Correct/Incorrect status is reported correctly. The Interaction Report correctly displays: Interaction ID Interaction Description (Question Text) However, the Correct Response and Learner Response fields do not display Chinese characters. Chinese characters appear as underscores/blank lines (e.g., __________). If the response contains English characters, only the English portion is displayed while the Chinese characters appear as underscores. Example Expected response: 範例 ABC Displayed in the Interaction Report: ______ ABC Additional information Storyline 360 Published as SCORM 2004 Issue occurs in both Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese versions. The French version of the same course reports interaction responses correctly. The issue affects both the Correct Response and Learner Response fields. Interaction ID and Interaction Description are displayed correctly. Assessment score, completion status, and Correct/Incorrect results are all reported correctly. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Chinese (or other CJK languages)? Is this a known Storyline limitation, a Unicode/encoding issue, or is there a recommended workaround? Hi I've translated a storyline course and published to LMS just one of the languages. I translated it from English to French and only want the French version in my Brightspace course container. I published fine and can view the file fine. Then I zipped it up and tried to upload to Brightspace but it fails with the error message "The package is missing a manifest". I've never had this error before and this is the first time using localisation. Has anyone else experienced this?Migration to EU server
I want my data on an EU server but that seems impossible. I started using Articulate 5 years ago. Than there was no EU server. I did build courses and now I could not send a copy of a course to a customer I builded the course for. I see it as my content and I want to migrate to a EU server. But this is a service that Articulate does not offer. Does any now how solve this? Or perhaps some experts of the organisation can solve this for me. Hi there, I have a question about the localisation feature in Articulate Rise and would be grateful if anyone with similar experience could help me. 😄 My use case is as follows: Our course content is inside an Articulate Rise course and is exported as a SCORM 1.2 package to a Moodle platform. When the SCORM package is clicked, the user is directed to a pop-up containing the course contents. I understand that Articulate Localisation is the best way to generate and export Rise courses in multiple languages, as demonstrated in the following article and e-learning course: Articulate Localization: Publish Multi-Language Rise 360 Courses | Articulate - Community https://rise.articulate.com/share/wbbxvTJyDgfSsfVryNBVDjvmjdX8agsK#/ The best method I have found is to allow the user to select their preferred language at the beginning of the SCORM package using a dropdown menu, as demonstrated in this article: Multi-SCO SCORM Package with Language Select | Articulate - Community Is there any way to skip the dropdown menu and automatically display the correct course language based on the user's browser language or, alternatively, based on the user's Moodle profile fields? Ideally, this would not require much coding or a custom solution and would not change the current user flow when accessing course content. We've come across a weird bug. Storyline 360 (version from 6/9 - we can't upgrade due to the closed caption issues in 6/16 and 6/23) File is in 10 different languages with English as the source language. I have question slides. Originally, answer options just had normal, hover and selected states. I added a disabled state to each option and set that as the default. Once audio is over, I set the states to normal. When I edit the disabled state for a non-English language and then flip back to English, the button now reads in that other language in the disabled (default) state! This is causing all kinds of grief and thank goodness we notices before delivering to the client. I should have to go back and recheck English when I'm adding another localized language to the file. Has anyone else experienced this? Know of a work around? Reported it as a bug? Any advice is helpful! Thanks, LoriHow to get Wordcount in a Storyline localized file?
Is there any way to generate a wordcount, notes and/or CCs, plush text on screen for a Storyline 360 file that has been localized? I need this to give to my proofreaders. Because I've used Storyline's localization feature, I no longer am able to export to XLIFF/Word. I can publish a "print" document, but that brings in slides as images and so the text on screen doesn't get counted. Any ideas? Thanks, LoriHow can we make Rise localization scalable?
As a global SaaS company, we must provide our customers with rapidly changing content in multiple languages. Our help center and video distribution platforms already support this at scale. Business departments also demand the localization of e-learning modules. However, with a cost of $185-$500 per translation in Rise (😱😱😱) and AI growing ability to replace authoring tools, our management is pushing to cancel our Rise subscription altogether 😢. How do you overcome these challenges? Is this feature planned to become better aligned with business needs and support scalability?Editing Translated Content in Rise
Hi Everyone, I have a Rise course that is in both English and Spanish that I'm trying to edit. The English version needs PDFs in English and the Spanish needs PDFs as attachments in Spanish. But when I try and add or remove the attachment in one language or the other, the change is made in both languages. Shouldn't I be able to have content blocks that vary in each language?
