I have seen that there have been other discussions about the accents of the AI Text to Voice changing. My colleague and I have both had similar experiences. I have been using the Addison 2.0 Australian Audiobook & Podcast voice in the majority of my courses, and had not had an issue with it until a week or two ago. The accent changed from Australian to New Zealand. Before I checked the discussions here, I tried to see if the accent would change if I just kept clicking the Generate Speech button - and it made very little change. I then checked the discussion board, and tried the suggested fixes, first entering an Aussie term at the beginning of the audio "G'Day" - which did make the audio revert to the Australian accent, but as soon as I deleted G'day, as it was not appropriate for my course, it reverted to the New Zealand accent. I then tried to change this to the Multilingual v2 and the voice was even worse. After no luck with the accent for this block, I went to enter the next audio block further down in the course. The voice was perfect, and all of the other audio blocks in this course and others have been fine. Today, I returned to the course, to see if the accent would change if I tried to re-generate the audio. No luck. Due to not having the issue in the rest of the course, I tried to create a new audio block in the same position. Accent was still the same. I tried to create a new audio block under the following text block and still no luck. In the end, I added a new audio block at the end of the lesson. Addison has two versions, so I tried to generate the audio with the Addison - Australian Narration and Conversational, and this generated the Audio with an American accent. I then changed it back to Addison 2.0 - and finally have the Australian accent. My colleague has also had issues with the following Australian voices having American accents: Emily, Jess and Clara. When she has changed the settings to the Multilingual V2, the volume of the audio decreases. While we are loving the AI tools, this issue when it is occurring is taking up way too much time to investigate and where possible have it work as it should. Leaving it there, or removing the audio entirely will impact the learner expereince. Is there any planned rectification works for these issues?34Views0likes0Comments[URGENT] "Continue" button disappeared & restricted stopped functioning
Hello E-Learning Heroes, We have the same issue today. The "Continue" button works when connected via mobile device's browser but disappeared or doesn't work when connected via computer/laptop's browser (i.e. Chrome). I can't really delete the entire SCORM 1.2 course imported into our LMS (Rippling) because they are currently learners enrolled and working in progress on the course. Also, the side navigation bar restricted function stopped working even though it is turned on before exported into SCORM 1.2. Not only these two issues including the "Continue" button are not functioning in Rippling LMS, they are not functioning in Articulate Reach 360 as well as I tested this morning. Please help! Thanks, Jonathan61Views0likes3CommentsReach 360 - Force Pending Users to Join
Can we skip the Pending Users step in Reach 360 and force someone to join instead of the current system where they're sent an invite link which they then have to accept? We're currently using Reach 360 to distribute some internal compliance training. This training has a due date of completion within 30 days of being assigned. The Pending Users step is giving us two issues: Users who genuinely miss the email or have it get filtered to junk / spam. Users who never intend to click the link. This is a problem, because the learning isn't considered assigned while the user is pending. This means that: They're not included in that course's reports, meaning we're doing two reports - one for the course and one for a list of pending users to chase The 30 day time limit doesn't start counting down until they accept their Reach 360 invite This leads to a situation where someone can choose to never accept the invite, never have their training assigned and technically never have it be overdue. Is there an over-ride we're missing somewhere where we can skip that pending status and they're just active and assigned learning as soon as we add their email?42Views0likes2CommentsSupervisor approval or sign off
In my training program we have evolutions that are required to be observed and completed. Currently the completion of the evolution is submitted via email to the supervisor. When approved it is sent to me for entry into our Power Bi Program. We also have the same process for monthly training completed on a different platform. Upon completion the Course certificate is sent to me for entry into Power Bi. Lots of Admin time doing manual entry. I have developed courses for the evolutions to ensure consistency and would like to incorporate a text block for feedback on what they learned and to capture any lessons learned for course improvement. Another option would be to attach a write up of what they learned. Not sure how to do either in Rise or Storyline. Is there a way to have a supervisor sign off on the completion of the evolution or monthly training? Appreciate the help, Skip73Views0likes2CommentsReach 360 report feature tick boxes
Hi All, Just wondering if this is possible. I need people to tick a box to confirm they have read and understood policies that I have added to Reach 360. Is it possible to produce a csv report to show the box has been ticked in a separate column? The policy is in Rise and the tick box is a separate block. Kind regards, Pam.32Views0likes2CommentsReach360 management access
Hi, we are looking into moving from our existing authoring tools to a new one and as I voted for Articulate, I have to honor to test it before we (maybe) get more licences and switch. We will continue to use our LMS, but Reach360 might be useful for distributing e-learnings to people outside our organisation, eg. business partners. When I try to publish a course to Reach, I get an error message about missing management access, although our IT department did activate Reach, do they have to do something elset? How do different roles work, has an author not automatically the right to publish? Thanks, LutzSolved41Views0likes2CommentsShort form content: what does it mean for us, and is anyone actually using Rise microlearning?
Been mulling this over for a while and wanted to see what others think. Most people now consume information in short bursts. Shorts, Reels, TikTok. I don’t buy the idea that attention spans have collapsed, the same people happily sit through three hour podcasts and binge a whole Netflix series in a weekend. What’s collapsed is tolerance for padding. And our industry has churned out an awful lot of padded 40 minute modules with a locked Next button over the years, so maybe we’ve brought it on ourselves. My hunch is that short form becomes the reinforcement and performance support layer. Sixty second how-tos at the point of need, spaced refreshers after the main course, that sort of thing. Deep skill building stays long form but has to justify every minute. The bit that gets squeezed is the generic middle, the 30 minute click-through that nobody remembers a week later. There’s a catch though. Watching feels like learning but mostly isn’t. Short form is built for engagement, not retention, and without some sort of retrieval practice all you end up with is view counts. And some subjects just don’t work chopped into bits. I mostly develop safety and technical engineering training for heavy industry and you can’t build judgement about process safety from a stack of clips. Which brings me to the tools. Rise has had microlearning as a course type for a good while now and I hardly ever see anyone using it. Genuine question, are you? My suspicion is the authoring isn’t the problem, it’s everything around it. SCORM and a traditional LMS are a clunky fit for a two minute piece of content. Nobody logs into an LMS for 90 seconds. Reach 360 goes some way towards this, but plenty of us are tied to a corporate LMS and that isn’t changing any time soon. If Articulate are serious about this I think it’ll take more than a shorter course type. Content that can be scheduled and drip-fed out over days and weeks. Notifications that land somewhere people actually look, Teams, email, their phone. Analytics that measure something more useful than completion. Vertical, mobile first templates wouldn’t hurt either. A few questions then. Are your stakeholders asking for shorter content yet, or is it still all full courses? Is anyone using Rise microlearning at any real scale, and if so how are you delivering it? And what would Articulate need to build for micro content to properly work in your setup? Would be good to hear where others have got to with this.75Views1like2CommentsIs there a way to have an rotate-to-landscape prompt display on Mobile phone?
Let me clearly explain what I am trying to do. I have created short instructions in Articulate Storyline in landscape mode and exported them as a video file. Then I go into Review 360 and upload the mp4 video. I then play the Review 360 video file, right-click it so that only the .mp4 displays, and create a QR Code. The QR Code plays the video alone without the Review 360 wrapper, and that's exactly what I want to happen! :) My question is: what is the best way to add a rotate-to-landscape prompt that shows up on the mobile phone before the video plays automatically?43Views0likes1CommentLimiting registration access
Hello, I would like to enable colleagues from my organization only, to be able to self-register once they click on a shared link. Is this possible to conficure? Also, on the landing Customize Self-Registration Page, I noticed that some info are in French (or English for my colleague). Is it possible to have it bilingual or what decides of the default choice of language for the user? Thank you for your help!23Views0likes1Comment
