Hello all, My organization has recently discovered an issue with .aspx files hosted on SharePoint. We've been using them to launch Storyline and Rise files so they act like web pages (like this). However, we just recently found that after reuploading the file or folder to SharePoint, SharePoint no longer opens the page. If you navigate to the .aspx file, it force-downloads the file. If you use the direct URL, you get a File Not Found error. We suspect this is a SharePoint issue that has to do with the upload process. My IT department has asked me to check here to see if anyone else has experienced this problem, and if so, what the root cause was (e.g., Microsoft update, policy change, etc.)? We're looking at SharePoint because: It happens to multiple people in multiple offices (not a computer issue). It happens with Chrome and Edge. Modifying the URL to add ?web=1 has no effect. Clearing cache and cookies has no effect (not a browser issue). I tested the "old" file to confirm it worked, then downloaded the .zip package from SP. When I reuploaded the exact same package back to SP, the file now force-downloads/is not found (so it's not the files or the Storyline version). I copied a file that's still working and uploaded the copy. The original opens as a web page, the copy doesn't (again, not the files). Thanks in advance for your feedback!6.5KViews2likes54CommentsMighty Extension
Has anyone used the new Mighty Rise chrome extension made by Maestro? https://maestrolearning.com/mighty/ I understand it is not affiliated with Articulate. We are looking into to testing it as some of the features (font control, custom transitions, reflection questions) would be major enhancements. We are looking for feedback on using the tool and how it publishes out into LMS files.4.4KViews6likes34CommentsUpload a published SCORM to Rise 360 to edit
I have got a published scorm file from a customer, they dont have access to the rise account it was made on and they need me to edit it for them. How can I upload the scorm file into my rise account so that I can edit it? I have seen some instructions online but I cant find the manage tab element? Import Your Training into Rise In Rise, select the Manage tab and then select Courses. In the upper right, click the Import Course link. On the window that displays, click Upload Course. Select the SCORM package you exported in the previous step and, once the package is finished uploading, click Done. Is this because I am still on my trial at the moment? Any help appreciated.4.1KViews0likes20CommentsRISE - Publish to Sharepoint 365/Web
I have managed to publish as web course, however in IE and EDGE browsers clicking the index.html does nothing. I can get the course to open in Chrome however, so it is working just not on those browser. Is this normal? Secondly, the goal is to publish the web course on SharePoint, however this wants to treat the index.html as a .PDF. Has anyone successfully got a course launching in SharePoint 365?3.8KViews2likes67CommentsBe a Voice in Shaping the Future of Articulate - Customer Compass

Last week we received the updated lay-out of the matching knowledge check. The moment I discovered it was a bit unlucky (during a presentation, got me a bit confused) but today I had some time to look into it. The changelog as following on the articulate website: Enhanced: Matching knowledge check blocks have been upgraded with intuitive navigation, full keyboard support, and comprehensive screen reader integration. Now, I think it's great that Articulate is improving it's software's accessibility, however, I don't see anything intuitive about the new design. A lot of new things have been added which for me only make the assignment more confusing. On the left side the hamburger icon and number suggest some sort of clickability, which is not there. The drop downs on the right give the assignment a new layer of intractability which only wouldn't want for the student. Overall the lay-out is a lot less clean and drains focus away from the content towards the design. Maybe a simple solution would be to add a slider which let's us choose between this lay-out and the previous one (or this one without the rings and bells). That's just my opinion, I was wondering what other think of the new lay-out!Solved3KViews20likes67CommentsXLF Version 2.1.
I have subscribed to the Advance version of DeepL as a translating tool. DeepL requires an XLF 2.1. version for translation but Rise 360 only export in version 1.2. Has anyone been able to solve the problem when exporting for translation? Can Articulate update Rise export XLF files for translation to a 2.1. version? Hi! I need to create a LOT of courses in Rise for a new curriculum. I often struggle to find the perfect size images for the Rise full image or text on image blocks. Any advice? I'm not an image edit expert by any means, so the simpler, the better! Thank you! Kandice2.9KViews0likes4CommentsLearning Journal In Rise
UPDATE DECEMBER 2024 Download at your own risk! It appears that Articulate recently made a change that could cause the learning journal to stop functioning. Such changes have happened in the past and will continue to happen. However, I will not be updating the learning journal code at this time. To remove the learning journal, simply remove any STATEMENT-NOTE entries that refer to the learning journal. E-Learning Super Hero SamHill has created a newer version of a Learning Journal that has more features and is actively supported. I encourage you to check it out here. - - - - - UPDATE JUNE 2020 Firstly, Articulate recently implemented a small update to Rise. As a result, all new exports from Rise will need to include the most recent version of LearningJournal.js which is found at the usual link. Secondly, at any time Articulate could update their code and bring a breaking change to the Learning Journal. Over a year ago, I shared this functionality freely with the community and the code comes with no warranty or support either implied or expressed. If at any time you want or need to remove the Learning Journal from your modules, simple remove any STATEMENT-NOTE entries that refer to the Learning Journal. * * * * I built a cool Learning Journal feature for Rise that has been very well-received. I thought I'd share it in case anyone wanted to a. use it or b. improve on it. The Learning Journal allows the learner to enter text responses to journal prompts throughout a Rise course. At the end of the course, the learner can print their learning journal of all their responses. The responses are saved to the browser so that they persist on future visits to the Rise course. EDIT May 2019: At the request of a member of the forum, I created a HOW-TO video below that shows each step of the HOW-TO document in action. Example Rise Course http://amelangrise.s3.amazonaws.com/learningjournal/index.html HOW-TO Document https://github.com/mikeamelang/learning-journal/raw/master/Learning%20Journal%20HOW-TO.docx HOW-TO Video https://360.articulate.com/review/content/33873893-2ea1-46d9-9415-3efca951d74c/review Learningjournal.js file (right-click and save) http://raw.githubusercontent.com/mikeamelang/learning-journal/master/Learningjournal.js Learningjournal.css file (right-click and save) http://raw.githubusercontent.com/mikeamelang/learning-journal/master/Learningjournal.css Project github site https://github.com/mikeamelang/learning-journal I would love any feedback and help to improve the functionality and code. Hello I've just started using Rise and I have some questions. Is there place that tells me the image dimensions (ie: Image and Text, Image size for the accordion, etc.). My client thinks the font is too small in the image description, so I was going to overlay it on the image, but it keeps cutting it off and I'll be here all day trying to figure out the image size.2.9KViews1like91Comments
