"workaround" for play size in my LMS

May 21, 2012

I posted recently trying to reconcile an issue with play size in my LMS.  I was linked in to the html file and it was creating a problematic functionality issue.  My students would need to scroll to "interact" with the activity. On the advice of my articulate community,  I adjusted the "browser settings" to one of my activities and it worked like a charm but the play window is small which impacts the ability to see the video as well - so on this same note... I have further questions.   Please bear in mind I am a teacher designing my own on-line materials.  I am NOT extremely comfortable with coding stuff and often lack the full understanding of how the technical end of things actually work.  That said...as I looked for solutions to this problem, I tried linking into other files and found that the "swf" file plays and seems to automatically adjust to fit the window.  It also appears to be fully functional.  Now what I need to know is from a "best practices" perspective, is there any downside to doing this?
