Assessment remains locked

Jun 22, 2022

Hello

I'm just wondering if anyone has had this before:

My assessment bank slide appears to remain locked in the menu even when users have completed it.

For those monitoring their progress in the menu, it's making them think they haven't done it.

I've attached an image showing what I mean.

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for reaching out!

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with the lock icon not changing into a check icon after having visited that slide. I'm happy to help you troubleshoot! To get started, I have a few questions to help me better understand the issue.

If you're comfortable sharing your .story file with us here, or privately through a support case, we'll be happy to investigate this further. We will delete it from our systems when troubleshooting is complete.

Hello Kelly

Thank you for your response. Below are the answers to your questions.

I have also attached the Storyline file for you to have a look at.

* Is this happening with one specific file? Have you tried importing the slides into a new Storyline file?
I have tried that and the assessment remains locked.

* You can restrict or lock navigation by following these steps. Can you please confirm the current navigation restriction setting?
The current navigation is "restricted". But once I've finished viewing a slide, a tick appears, with the exception of the assessment slide, which stays locked.
I look forward to your response.

Hi, Adrian.

Thank you for the additional details!

When using a question bank in restricted mode, the check will only appear if you show the draw contents. You can do this in the Player Properties > Menu > Click the gear next to the bank > check Show Slide Draw Contents. See below:

Let me know if this works!

I also wanted to add a quick note: it looks like your signature with contact information came through when you replied via email. You can remove it by clicking ‘Edit’ below your response. Here’s a quick Peek 360 video if you need help.
