I'm trying to use Bahnschrift Light Condensed font. It looks sooooo good when I'm developing but as soon as I preview, the text is all squished/overlapping.
I appreciate you testing the modern text feature, and you're right.
When using any of the Bahnschrift Lightfont styles, the version seen during edit looks different than the one during preview—even after enabling or disabling modern text.

Let me share this with my team so that we can verify whether this is a bug or not. Thanks for raising this, and I apologize for the trouble!
Same problem with the Bahnschrift font. Looks fine in Edit View, but when I preview or publish there is no difference in font weight. Has there been a resolution to this problem? Attached are screen shots of the edit view and preview.
Unfortunately, we still see this behavior in Storyline 360 (Build 3.49.24347.0) as well. This bug hasn't made it on our roadmap as we are currently prioritizing other bug fixes and feature requests for upcoming releases. We'll return to this discussion if our team decides to reroute and add this to our roadmap. I've responded to your post in this discussion as well.
I wanted to check if there have been any recent updates regarding the font issue in Articulate 360, particularly with the Bahnschrift font.
This font is crucial for our newly rolled-out Corporate Brand.
I've managed to upload the WOFF version of Bahnschrift for Rise 360, and while it does display, I'm encountering difficulties with applying bold and italics to the text.
This open post has been around for over two years, and it seems that similar problems have been reported with other fonts, some dating back as far as seven years.
I find it concerning that such a fundamental issue as fonts not displaying correctly has persisted for so long.
It would be great to hear if there have been any recent developments or if there's a plan in place to address this issue.

Hello Dan!
I'm happy to help! Do you mind confirming whether or not you're using Modern Text?
Also, do you mind sharing which version of Storyline you are using?
We should be able to figure out what's causing the snag with those details!
Good Morning Lauren!!
Yes I am using Modern text and it is SL3.
*UPDATE: I unchecked "Use Modern Text" and that did not fix the issue.
Greetings, Dan!

Hello all! I am still having the same issue with the Bahnschrift font even in the most recent update. Has anyone found a way to solve this?
I am having the issue with Open Sans Condensed Bold and Semi Bold. Is this a screen resolution issue or something bigger at Articulate? Anybody know?
Hello!
We are still seeing issues with the Bahnschrift Light font. We recommend using a different font to eliminate the issue where the font looks scrunched.
I'll update this discussion if this bug is scheduled to be fixed in an upcoming release.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
storyline don't support "variable fonts" (on preview + publish)
on Windows 10 "Bahnschrift" (bahnschrift.ttf) is as variable font installed
result: Storyline can only publish Bahnschrift regular (no bold, italic, condensed, ...)
you need a Bahnschrift version with "normal" ttf/otf - with multiple files (one file per font style)

Thank you for the reply.
Are you saying I need to load each variation of the font as a separate "install"?
If that is the case, I have not been able to find any version of the font other than the Windows Variable version.
yes, normaly there are "compatible" version of the fonts available (-> google fonts)
but Bahnschrift (Microsoft) seems to be variable font exclusive
Thank you for your answer.
So it seems there is no answer for this particular font.
It is becoming harder and harder to recommend Articulate 360 to others.
as far as i know, there are no (free) licensing option for BAHNSCHRIFT and other Microsoft fonts (e.g. Arial) to be used as embedded web fonts anyway
Monotype is the normal contact for microsoft fonts on the web - and they do not have BAHNSCHIFT
