how can I change the "invalid answer" for a hotspot question (if no answer was given and "send" was clicked immediately), i.e. not only the text and the color, but make it completely new?

You can create an "invalid answer" layer that works similarly to the "correct" or "incorrect" layer in your slide layers menu. Here's a conversation discussing that option complete with a sample file.
FYI: It's true that you can't change the look of the built-in dialog box used for the "Invalid Answer" message. However, you can edit the text. That's done in the Text Labels part of the Player:
