Email Text Entry - for Learner to enter their address - ablity to forward inforamtion to learner's email

I am still fairly new to articulate, and currently using Storyline 2.  I recently was completing an online module (as in taking the course) that I quickly identified was done in story line where on a slide they used an email text entry for the learner to be able to enter their email address and when submitted, it would send an attachment of notes back to the learner.   I do not have access to the actual story to see how this activity was set up. While I have searched and located lots of instructions on text entries, I'm not sure if I have the answer I need to determine if this is something that can be done.  This site by the way is excellent as I am self taught and have found much value in so many of the tutorials as well as these discussion forums.
