Global Text-to-Speech
I'm working on a project with several elearning courses in Storyline. I'll be using text-to-speech for each course, which could be between 50 - 100 slides per course.
Is there a way to globally activate text-to-speech, or do I have to activate this feature for each individual slide?

Text-to-speech creates an audio file that reads the entered text. In other words, it's pre-recorded "narration" that appears on the Timeline as an MP3.
Thus, you have to create each text-to-speech file that you want played in the course. It makes sense to create it on the slide where the file will play.

HI, just to pick up on that discussion, as I have the same problem: it makes sense to have each audio file on the respective slide.
But it would be helpful to have a batch processing option, so Storyline loads automatically the notes into the text-to-speech and creates the audio for each slide automatically.
that would save a lot of time and clicking....
Do you know, if this function is on the roadmap?

I don't work for Articulate, so I don't know what's on their roadmap.
