URL
Hi,
In one of my storyline slides, I have a button with a trigger to jump into a URL when the user clicks on it. this URL should take the user to a website(my company elearning website) where he can access an elearning lesson. the lesson openes in a new browser which is great. but the problem is when the lesson is finished it takes me out of the storyline course while it is not the last slide in it.
Please advise

Hi Rana,
I'm having a hard time visualizing the issue - any chance you can post a link to the course, or send it over privately, so I can get a better idea of what's going on?
Thanks!

Hi Peter,
thanks for your attempt to help.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to access any of the URLs as they are dedicated for Aramco users and can not be accessed from out.
The problem is, I have a slide in the middle of a storyline course that have four buttons each one direct the user to an elearning lesson located at Aramco elearning website. the links are working fine directing the users to the correct lesson and the user is supposed to return back to complete the storyline course after this lesson is finished, either to check other lessons by clicking on any other button or to click on the next button to move to the next slide. But in reality this does not happen, as Once the lesson is finished, the whole storyline course will be ended. is it something that need to be changed in the settings to allow the user to close the lesson (in Aramco website) without ending the storyline course?
Hope this is clear

Thanks for the information, Rana. That doesn't sound quite right to me, especially if you have the Aramco link opening in a new window. When you close that window, I don't think it should end your Storyline course.
We'd love to be able to take a look, and we wouldn't necessarily need access to your Aramco site - the .story source file would help us understand how you've configured the course and its settings. Do you think you could send that over to us so we can help troubleshoot this thing?
Thanks!

Thanks again Peter.
this might sound silly. Im trying to attach the .story file using the Insert file icon but it is taking for ever to upload the file. Am I doing it right? or there is another way to send you the file.
thanks a million

Hi Rana,
Thanks for trying Looks like that's the story.html file you attached (which I can't view). Please try attaching the .story source file using the paperclip icon, or you can easily upload it using the second page of this form.
Thanks, Rana! Looking forward to assisting...

Hi, I am running into the same issue. Was there a resolution to this? This is very time sensitive so a quick reply would be awesome! Thank you!
Hi Stephanie!
This discussion is a bit older, so let's start fresh! Tell me more about what's going on in your file. These key details would be helpful, too!
- What version of Storyline are you using? (Help >> About Storyline)
- Is the published output hosted on a web server or a learning management system (LMS)?
- What exactly happens when the learner clicks the URL?
