SWF to Storyline

There are a couple of old posts with ideas on how to extract content from old Flash files. You're going to have to do some updating; it's not going to be as simple as dropping a file into Storyline. But, you may be able to save some work and not start completely from scratch.

There may be some software that decompiles the SWF. You can probably do a search.

Hey Minhaz! Just throwing this idea out there in case it helps. Someone once shared the Flash Player Projector Content Debugger as a possible solution to view old Flash content. I haven't tried it but thought I'd share their solution in case it works for you.  

Good find. I just played around with the Flash Player debugger. As long as you have the file folder intact and load the story.swf it seems to play OK.

Of course, it's probably not a good idea to ask people to download the Flash player. But for you, you can at least see what's in the file and then capture that using the ideas in the links above that Christy shared.

Hey George! Are you referring to the method I shared above? I don't know if it still works, but Tom Kuhlmann did a helpful video tutorial on how to view old Flash courses in case you want to try following those same steps to see if that does the trick. If that doesn't work, I'm not aware of any other method, but hopefully the community might have more ideas to share. 🤞
