Adding scores from multiple pages to a result page
Hi
I am creating a quiz/questionnaire, where students have to divide 5 points between two statements. They have to do this 36 times.
The sum of the 18 statements on the right side of the first 3 slides needs to be summed up (Sum A). The first 18 statements on the left side of the first 3 slides also needs to be summed up (Sum B). The same for the last 3 slides (Sum C and D). The four totals needs to be shown on the last page.
I have added triggers, so each numerical entry is added to the right sum variable, when they click the next button. But I can't get the sum to appear on the result page.
What am I doing wrong?
Hello Everyone! ✨
I'm happy to share that we have released a new update for Storyline 360 (Build 3.75.30269.0).
In this update, we have implemented a fix for:
- A numeric-entry field displayed "NaN" when a trigger adjusted its default value.
As a first step, I recommend updating Storyline 360 to the latest version. Here's how:
If you have any questions, please let us know in this thread or privately in a support case.
Have a great day!

Hi, Helle.
Thank you for sharing your .story file!
The order of triggers is very important in Storyline. When users click Button 1, they are immediately taken to the next slide, so the triggers that calculate the numbers never execute. The first step is to move that trigger down:
However, I ran into a calculation error (NaN) with your variables. I went ahead and opened a support case on your behalf, so we can investigate this further. You'll receive an e-mail from our team soon!

HI. Was there a solution found to this issue. This is exactly what I am looking for scoring an RFP example.
Hi Sarah,
Thanks for reaching out!
The issue encountered by Helle was identified to be a bug. Affected users will notice that a numeric entry will display "NaN" if you try to adjust the variable without the user key-in a number.
If you're willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case, we'll be glad to verify if you're being affected by this bug, as well as offer any available workarounds. We'll delete it when we're done testing!
