AI Tutor specific terms/privacy/handling/details page?

I've been looking around for the specific page mentioning the terms and conditions of use, data handling, partners, and types of data used/sent during the use of AI Tutor in a course published to a LMS. Many sources point to the 'Articulate's privacy, security, and data processing standards' as a general place to start.

https://www.articulatesupport.com/article/Rise-360-Using-AI-Tutor didn't link directly to a terms/privacy page specifix to AI Tutor. This page implies that the contents of both the course and anything the learners might type in will be shared with third party AI service providers, seemly OpenAI. What document describes Articulate's relationship with these third parties should those parties change their own terms or privacy documents?

The terms and conditions / privacy links mentioned at the bottom of the tutor itself lead only to the general Articulate terms / privacy pages, which do not at this time have any mentions or references to articles or terms about AI Tutor specifically.

I wasn't able to find anything on https://www.articulate.com/trust specific to AI Tutor.

Articulate 360 Security Policy pdf predates the implementation of AI Tutor.

Your Artie-ai bot pointed me at these old documents

My organisation has raised similar questions. Can you provide updates and keep us informed of progress toward addressing all data security concerns for organisations that operate outside the US please?

Here are the current concerns of my organisation - please provide as much information so I can go back and update our Cybersecurity Team:

    1. Does the AI Tutor summarise course content or does it provide advice (context: HR courses that are developed from policy & legislation)
    2. Has any testing or validation been done on the answers the AI Tutor will provide?
    3. To what extent are the answers that the AI provides being monitored or controlled, in case an employee receives incorrect advice (AI is not always correct and can hallucinate)? I note there is a disclaimer stated.

      Hi, KerryA!

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how important it is to have the most up-to-date and detailed information to share with your cybersecurity team.

I see that these questions are currently being addressed by our Compliance team, in a support case for your organization. They’ll be best positioned to provide the most accurate information, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as additional details become available!

        Hi Kelly

I haven't seen anything come from the Compliance team. Can you tell me where to look for their response please?

  • Hello Tim_,

Thanks for raising this! Your concern is valid, and we want to be transparent about where things stand.

There isn't an AI Tutor-specific terms or privacy page today, but we’re actively working on this documentation and expect to share more later this year. In the meantime, here's what we can share:

    • AI Tutor data is learner-agnostic; it can’t identify individual learners.
    • Data handling for AI Tutor falls under Articulate's sub-processor agreements and Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which govern our relationships with third-party AI providers.
    • Our AI Security and Privacy whitepaper is the most current resource detailing how we handle third-party data privacy and retention.
