AI Voices

Hello CydWalker_mwh,
Thanks for reaching out! We understand the importance of legacy voices, and we’re working closely with ElevenLabs to find a clear path forward.
In the meantime, we've secured an extension on the legacy voices through April 2026—a longer timeline than that of ElevenLabs’ direct customers. That means you’ll still have access to legacy voices until then.
Additionally, our team is developing new tools and processes to make converting existing audio clips to supported voices quick and easy. Details are still being finalized, and we'll share more information soon.
Hope this helps—and please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Always happy to assist!
The voices Articulate gives us as recommendations to replace the legacy voices with don't all exist. I am trying to replace Rachel for Janet, but Janet doesn't exist.
Hi AliciaHiltner!
I'm glad you had the chance to read our article on Replacing Deprecated Voices! I understand you're not seeing Janet on your end in Storyline 360. No worries! You might need to add this voice via the Voice Library if it isn't already in your My Voices view. Happy to walk you through that process!
- In Slide View, go to the Home or Insert tab on the ribbon.
- Click the Insert Audio drop-down arrow and choose Voices.
- When the Generate AI Audio window displays, click the Voice Library button on the right.
- Browse through the list of available voices. You can preview a voice by clicking the play icon next to each name.
- Once you find a voice you like, click the Use button to add it to your library under the My Voices tab.
- If you want to save a voice for later, click the Add to My Voices button. This will change to Remove from My Voices if you decide to remove it.
- When working in Rise, follow these instructions for replacing the current deprecated voices.
Here's a quick visual for locating the Voice Library.
Please let me know if you're still unable to see Janet as a voice option on your end! We'd be happy to take a closer look at your setup within a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
