Allow Forward Seeking - disabled?
I embedded a video in 360 and do not see the setting "allow forward seeking" so users cannot skip ahead of the video.
Help! :)
Hi Pooja,
Happy to help! Hover over the video block, and click the Edit button. Click the Settings tab, and there you'll see the option to Allow forward seeking.

Myy "Edit Video" panel settings are missing this checkbox. Did I do something wrong?
To replicate:
- Click New Course
- Click Blank Course
- Type "Video 1" as the lesson title and press Enter.
- Click Add Content
- Click Lesson
- Click "Video"
- Hover over Video Block
- Click "Edit"
- Click "Settings" tab.
- I only get the options showing below:

And now, the setting is back! Maybe something was down temporarily or it was cookies or something else.

I also don't have the "allow forward seeking" box available to check/uncheck. Is there something I'm doing wrong? need an update?

HI Lesley,
You screenshot shows a Multimedia Embed block.
The Allow forward seeking checkbox is only available for Multimedia Video blocks.

Hi! I have the box allowing forward seeking. It is a video and not an embed. Forward seeking is not working. In the player I can select the speed of the playback, but when the seekbar is engaged, the player goes back to 1st frame.

Hi Edward,
Here is what I see.
Click the large video play button.
Play head advances on the timeline.
As soon as the play head moves on the timeline, I can drag the play head forward or backwards on the timeline.

Hi Karl:
Yes, that is the expected behavior, but as I stated above, that does not work for me.
Thank you -
Hi Edward! Would you mind recording a short video of what you're seeing from your side? Here's a 1-minute video of what I'm seeing on my end.
You can also open a case and send us your course Share link, if that works better for you!

Hi Alyssa, I've the same problem. It's possible in Rise360 when i do it, but once it's in my LMS it's blocked. Is this something I can change or do you think it's a bug in the LMS?

Hi Evy! Sorry to hear that forward seeking is not working when your Rise 360 course is in your LMS. To test if the issue is with your LMS, I recommend testing your course in SCORM Cloud, the industry-standard testing engine.
The following video tutorial demonstrates how to use SCORM Cloud with Articulate content:
https://community.articulate.com/series/learning-management-systems-lmss/articles/how-to-troubleshoot-your-lms-with-scorm-cloudIf the issue doesn't occur in SCORM Cloud, it looks like the issue could be with the LMS. If the issue also occurs in SCORM Cloud, we would love to take a closer look. Feel free to open a case here. Our support engineers are ready to help.

Greetings: Scorm Cloud is not 100% bullet proof. Every LMS is a little different. Since there are 2 in this thread that have the issue, I will check it again and upload to Scorm Cloud. If it still behaves in this manner, it is a bug and I will submit a case for our Enterprise system. Thank you!
