Articulate Rise - embed video not working
Hi -
I am revising an Articulate Rise course developed by my team about 5 years ago. All of the text/image based changes have been fine to implement, but I am trying to update/revise an embed link <https://www.lionsclubs.org/en/resources-for-members/resource-center/club-marketing> within the course and continue to receive the following message: We are unable to generate an embed for this URL. Please check that the URL is valid and the content is publicly accessible. While I am certain the link I am using is publicly accessible, I have tried a number of other links and continue to get that message. If I simply hyperlink text with the link above, it works. Any ideas or suggestions for what I hope is an easy fix would be great. I normally use Storyline, so maybe I am overlooking something basic? Thanks ahead of time.

Thank you Eric - I am working with our IT dept. to see if there could be an issue on our end. If not, I will follow up. But please note, I have attempted both the URL and the iframe - neither are working.

I have reached out to our team and it does not appear there are any privacy issues with this public page.
Hello PeterMlot,
Thanks for the additional details!
I also recommend embedding the site using an embed code with the iframe tags, as suggested earlier:
<iframe src="URL"></iframe>
Here are the best practices to follow when using an embed code to avoid errors:
If the issue continues after applying the best practices, please double-check that the site you’re linking to allows its content to be embedded in frames. Some websites restrict embedding in an iframe, which can cause the error message you’re encountering.
Let us know if you continue to run into trouble. Please feel free to share the embed code you are using as needed. You can also connect with us privately in a support case if you want more targeted help. We’re happy to assist further.
Hi PeterMlot,
Thanks for reaching out about this!
The first step is to confirm that the URL is publicly accessible, which is sounds like you've done. It's possible the website has updated its privacy settings or added new restrictions, which is blocking the direct embed.
In addition to adding the URL as a hyperlink in your text, you could also embed the link using an iFrame. You can learn more about embedding web content in Rise 360 here, and please let me know if you have any questions!- PeterMlotCommunity Member
HI,
I am now working on revising another course where I am attempting to replace an old embedded webpage with a new link to be embedded. I am using the embed tags but I am still getting an error saying the website will not connect. Given that other old embedded content from the website is working, shouldn't this new link work as well?
Thanks,
Peter

Now I am having the same issue. I'm trying to link to an internal Sharepoint. The urls work fine in a button block but not in the embed block, either with or without the iframe tag.
Hello tjniko,
Thanks for following up! As my colleague Kelly mentioned, it’s good to double-check that your internal SharePoint link allows external embedding. Even if it was public, updated privacy settings or new restrictions could block the embedding. I recommend contacting your SharePoint admin to confirm.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!

For some reason this is not working for me either. I was able to link using buttons - not ideal, but a solution when time is of the essence. Thank you.

Have you tried putting the url in the iframe tag?
<iframe src="URL"></iframe>
