Audio starts over instead of continuing
Hi everyone,
I experience the following problem when I publish my project on an LMS platform and I open it in Chrome or Edge.
When I switch to a new browser tab/window the slide and the audio pauses, but when I return to the course instead of continuing where it paused, the audio starts over while the timeline continues.
As a consequence, the timeline will end before the audio can finish.
Even if I switch to a new browser tab in the middle of a slide, after returning to the slide the audio will start from the very beginning. The problem is only with the audio, everything else works fine on the slides. I don’t experience this problem with videos.
I observed this on storyline 360.
I installed the updates yesterday.

Hi. I am also facing the same issue in the client LMS. Please share the solution.
Hi Renáta,
Thanks for updating this thread and I'm so glad to hear you were able to make it work! If you run into any trouble moving forward, please let us know!
Hi Renáta,
Welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!
I understand you're experiencing an issue with the audio restarting, but the timeline resumes after returning to a course when published for LMS. I'm sorry to hear that you've hit this snag, and I'm happy to help troubleshoot! I'd like to ask a few clarifying questions to start.
- Are you only seeing this issue in the published output, or does it happen in preview mode as well? You'll also want to check that you're using the most up-to-date version of Storyline 360.
- Have you tried clearing your browser cache or using an incognito window?
- Have you tried testing your course in SCORM Cloud? If the course plays as expected, then I suggest that you reach out to your LMS provider to troubleshoot the issue. They'll know how best to help with LMS-specific problems.
If it doesn’t work in SCORM cloud, I'd be happy to take a closer look at your file to investigate what's going on. You can upload it here or share it privately in a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete!
