Branching Pathways - Pass Quiz (go to end) or Fail Quiz (review course content (and maybe a quiz or knowledge check)

Hi All

We are looking at creating a recertification pathway for courses.

Essentially we want to create a course that has:

A quiz at the beginning - which if you pass you are recertified. Or if you fail you have to complete course content (and maybe a quiz or knowledge check).

I get the impression that this is not possible in Articulate Rise, as course completion can only be via one means (e.g. Quiz, Course Completion). I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic.

Greg

  • Using Storyline is definitely the easiest option, since it allows pre-test or final-assessment tracking.

It is possible to build a Rise course with a pre-test, but that comes with some big caveats. Here's the post about it: TIP: Build a Rise Course with a Pretest - Rise 360 Discussions - E-Learning Heroes (articulate.com)

There might be another Rise option. The pretest course would be published separately from the content course. They'd be bundled in the LMS, and the combo "curriculum" would be marked as complete if the user passes only one of the courses. Obviously, how that's done (or if it's even possible) depends on the LMS.
