Button states issue - disappearing if clicked more than once.
I have three buttons on base layer all with selected and visited states.
Each button opens a layer what have a close trigger (button).
What happens is when closing the layer and choosing to re-select a button on screen, the buttons disappear.
I also disabled the layer opening trigger and previewed again.
But get the same results: Re-clicking the buttons causes the buttons to disappear also

I'm sorry you've hit this snag with the disappearing buttons; this behavior sounds strange! If you're comfortable sharing your Storyline file with us, we'd be happy to take a look to find out what's happening.
