Can you speed up the player in Articulate 360?
I don't think this has been possible before, but can a user speed up the audio on the player in 360?
Hello Everyone!
I'm happy to share that we have released Storyline 360 version 72 (Build 3.72.29654.0).
Included in this release is a new feature where you can let learners explore at their own pace by choosing a course playback speed between 0.25x and 2x.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let us know if you have any questions by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.
Have a great day!

Articulate, can you please hire Math to help implement this feature request for us? Thanks.

Following. I would love to see this feature implemented as well. It is very hard to pay attention when the content isn't playing at the right pace for your brain, lol!

New version of Video Speed control attached. This controls:
- The speed of playback of the video, from 50%-200%
- The ability to jump back or jump forward 10 second
- A timestamp display, with the ability to copy this to the clipboard
To use:
- Set the numberOfVideos variable to the number of videos in the entire project, even the boilerplate & incidental videos.
- This controls the video timeline, not the Storyline seek bark timeline. You may want to turn off the seek bar on the slide & use the video seek bar instead.
HTH,
Mark Ramsey

Community, please continue responding to this thread and add this as a feature request.

You mean this 5 year old thread? IMO Articulate knows we need this, it just seems not to be a priority for them.
Hello Everyone!
I'm happy to share that we have released Storyline 360 version 65 (Build 3.65.28121.0) today!
Included in this release is an enhancement where all learners are enabled to interact with videos via accessible controls that match the modern player style, exceed color contrast guidelines, and communicate perfectly with screen readers. Learners can even change the playback speed, switch to full-screen mode, and use picture-in-picture mode to move videos to a floating window.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Have a great day!

This doesn't help with courses created in Storyline that aren't video-based. Correct?

Are there plans to add increasing speed to the Player so that all elements of the timeline are sped up and not just videos? I think that is what's really needed.

I echo the same feature. Many of our learners' requests speed up 1.2x or 1.5x playing speed. I hope Storyline implements it in the near future.

Slides and all timing you add to it by triggers, slidelayers, transitions and animations are not changed by the speedchange on video Artivulate added. Only video is affected.
Any animation or timing added by using Javascript and GSAP you can speed up. But the default timeline animations are not.

Hi all, I love that SL360 now has an accessible video player with the ability to speed up videos! I'm wondering if I can add an on-screen button that can access the video player's native functionality similar to how Math's wonderful workaround allowed. I'd love to be able to just add a button that will allow speed change to 1.5 or 2x without the need for javascript extras - but without making the player visible.
