Captions not activated automatically

First time I have come across this:
I copy paste my text from a script into the notes section, then generate text to speech. Normally when I preview the slide the CC button (which has been activated on the player) is available.

Randomly in my project, some slides have the button available and other do not.

Now I need to go into every side and right click "Accessibility" and click the "add caption" button.

I did not know captions could be accessed this way before I ran into this issue.

All slide properties are set to player defaults.

Why is this happening?

  • Hi Steve,

    Thanks for reaching out!

When generating your text-to-speech audio files, can you check if you have the 'Generate Closed Captions' tick box checked before clicking on Insert? Here's a screenshot for your reference:

If you already have this tick box checked, would you mind sharing the exact text that you are converting to text-to-speech here so I can try replicating the behavior on my end?

    Looking forward to your response!
