Clarification on supported browsers

I know it says "Latest Version" for all the "supported" browsers for storyline playback, but what does that mean fundamentally? We have students that do not have the ability to update to the "Latest Version" and can be several versions behind. In the past there used to be version numbers listed. I can't find this anywhere and were at the point where we're updating the specifications for our users. What about Apple products that are several years old, but no longer supported with safari updates?
