Closed Captions in Exported Video File
Hi there,
I am trying to test if I import an MP4 video file and add closed captioning in the Storyline 360, when I publish it as a video my closed captions are not displaying. I can see them in the preview but when published as a video they disappear. Please help :)
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 73, we’ve included important fixes and new features!
One new feature we’ve included:
Boost video accessibility by including closed captions when publishing projects as MP4 video files.
To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help!

Hi, when will this be added? We have state and municipal clients who require videos and accessibility. I've added my input to the feature request for this.

I have been using Articulate for years and I am disappointed in the customer service. They tell us to suggest it as a feature and several years will pass without even a followup comment on the progress. In reality, Articulate very rarely listens to the users or implements our suggestions.

Any word on this update? I also want to publish to an Mp4 and keep my captions.

I would like to also request that there be an option for closed captions when exporting to video, just thought I'd add my voice to the choir in case it helps get this over the line!

Adding my vote for captions to be included in exported video files. This would be a good timesaver and ensure consistency in content across formats.

I am also disappointed if this feature has not been added yet. I used the Caption tool in Storyline on my MP4, which didn't show up when the video plays on the slide. Then I added the captions in Camtasia, which works perfectly when I view it outside Storyline, but embedded video in the slide, captions do not work. No work around for this?

When a teammate told me that CC can't be included in MP4 file output from Storyline, I couldn't believe it. This is absolutely critical to us, as my current project requires producing 15 videos in 7 different languages. It's possible to pull the Storyline-produced MP4 into Camtasia and add captions there, but that's just not right! We'll save time just using Camtasia from the get-go instead. It's disappointing because I really like Storyline, but we don't have time to waste. BTW, this feature ought to be NUMBER ONE on the list - isn't diversity and inclusion important to Articulate?

Adding my name to the request for closed captions on mp4 export. PLEASE. This is way overdue.

Yes, this feature is really important for all video content. Please let us know if this is almost ready.

Not really since it involves yet another piece of software.
